How we handle the information you share with us.
Who we are
This website is operated by THE ADVISORY HOUSE REAL ESTATE L.L.C, trading as The Advisory, a real estate brokerage in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (Trade Licence No. 1648271, RERA ORN 64257). In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean THE ADVISORY HOUSE REAL ESTATE L.L.C.
We are responsible for the personal data we collect through this website and in the course of our advisory and brokerage services, and we handle it in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data and other applicable UAE law.
What we collect
We only collect what we need to respond to you and to act for you:
- What you send us — your name, email address, phone number and message when you use our contact form, email us, call us or message us on WhatsApp, together with anything you choose to tell us about your property plans, budget or requirements.
- Newsletter sign-ups — your email address, if you ask to receive updates from us.
- Client information — if you become a client, the identification and financial details that UAE law requires a real estate brokerage to verify before a transaction, such as passport or Emirates ID copies and proof of funds.
- Technical data — like any website, our hosting provider records basic request data such as IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time of the request, to operate and secure the site.
We do not use advertising cookies, and we do not use analytics or tracking tools on this website.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange a conversation or viewing.
- To provide our advisory and brokerage services, including sharing opportunities that match what you have asked for.
- To send you updates you have asked for. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations, including anti-money-laundering and know-your-customer checks required of real estate brokers in the UAE.
- To keep this website secure and working properly.
We rely on your consent, on the need to take steps you have asked for or to perform our agreement with you, and on our legal obligations. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where needed:
- Service providers who help us run our business — website hosting, email, form handling and messaging services such as WhatsApp — under terms that require them to protect it.
- Parties to a transaction — developers, other brokers, conveyancers or trustees — when you ask us to progress a purchase, sale or reservation, and only what that step requires.
- Authorities, such as the Dubai Land Department or other government bodies, where the law requires it.
Some service providers may process data outside the UAE. Where they do, we take steps to make sure your data remains protected as UAE law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards. Where you become a client, we keep transaction and identification records for at least five years, or longer if UAE law requires it. After that, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Subject to UAE law, you can ask us to:
- give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
- correct anything that is inaccurate or incomplete;
- delete your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- restrict or stop using it, or stop contacting you;
- withdraw consent you have given.
Email us at contact@the-advisory.ae and we will respond within the period set by law. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the UAE Data Office.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, and we limit access to those who need it. No method of sending data over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send identity documents through the website form; we will arrange a secure way to receive them.
Children
This website and our services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
